In Februarly of 2013, Lynn was invited to join the well-established Tantalus Quartet. Tantalus has appeared at important concert series and festivals throughout the United States, Europe, and Canada, including Carnegie's Weill Hall, the Guitar Foundation of America, the New York Guitar Seminar, the Iserlohn International Guitar Symposium (Germany), the Silesian Guitar Autumn Festival (Poland), the Acadia International Guitar Festival (Canada), and many others.
The group recently relased its newest CD, "Foolish Fire".
Preliminary feedback has been tremendous. You can purchase the CD through Amazon and i-tunes.
With the relocation of a member of the group to the UK, Presti is no longer an active performing group. In our years as a trio, we thouroughly enjoyed performing for and sharing with audiences across the United States in AZ, FL, NC, NY, SC, and TX over the 3 years that we were together.
This year, 3 of my private students were section leaders for the NM All-State (in the top 4 auditions). For highschool senior Audra Vigil, it was the 4th time she was selected for concert mistress. Last summer, Audra placed 3rd in the senior division of the International Youth Competition at the Guitar Foundation of America in a stunning field of young players. Previously, she placed in the adult divisions with 2nd place at the Sierra Nevada Competition and 4th in the Eastern Carolina Universtiy Competition.
Other students have been improving by leaps and bounds. This year Leah and Bryce became members of the Albuquerque Academy Guitar Quartet, an award-winning high school ensemble.
NEW PIECE: Composer and accomplished guitarist and singer Frank Wallace has composed an amazing setting of the Garcia Lorca text "La muerte oscura" for guitar and narrator. I hope to have an mp3 posted soon! It is a tragically beautiful work and a magical setting of the dark poem!
RECORDING: I am recording Volumes I and II of Castelnuovo-Tedesco's "Platero y yo" as narrator and guitarist with the hope that the Cd will be released in Fall of 2015.
Thanks again for being here, and for your support!
